The Agency's analytical and research activities in the field of territorial social and economic development of the Kaliningrad region is aimed at informational and consulting support to authorities of different levels, and to companies in the Kaliningrad region.

Over 50 analytical documents were prepared, issued, and distributed during the last three years.

The analytical and research activity of the Agency is carried out, based on requests of the authorities, in the framework of programmes of the international assistance, and on the initiative of the Agency.

The Bulletins are thematic reviews, prepared by the Agency together with experts of the EuropeAid/114287/C/SV/RU project "Support for the Regional Development of Kaliningrad".

Analytical report "Kaliningrad region: legal framework of economic reforms" (in Russian)

The analytical report is prepared by experts of the Regional Development Agency and European experts in the framework of the project "Kaliningrad region: legal framework of the economic reform" for the Ministry of economic development and trade of the Russian Federation. The report presents a brief description of economic development of the region in the recent years, the competitive advantages and drawbacks of the Kaliningrad region, and the major factors, restricting the regional development. The report contains a legal analysis of conformity of the draft law "About the Special Economic Zone", submitted to the Government of the Russian Federation in the autumn of 2003, and of the regional legislative acts to requirements of the WTO and to the Agreement on partnership and cooperation between EU and Russia.

Publication "Support to transforming Kaliningrad region into a pilot region of cooperation of Russian-EU cooperation"

The publication is prepared by the East - West Institute with the support of the Office of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the North-Western Federal Area and with the support of the Regional Development Agency, based on the results of the project of the East - West Institute "Assistance to transformation of the Kaliningrad region in a pilot region of cooperation of Russia and the European Union".

The report "The EU enlargement in the Baltic Sea region: involvement of the Kaliningrad region in the new dynamism of the region" presents the point of view of one of the leading European experts on Kaliningrad region issues Ya. Svechintski, expert with the Swedish institute of international relations (Stockholm).
