Construction of a production complex manufacturing meat semi-finished products

In accordance with the investment agreement a high-tech industrial plant manufacturing semi-finished meat products and occupying the area of 20 hectares will be constructed. Total volume of investments in the enterprise makes up 3 bln. roubles (800 mln. roubles in the first year).

Construction of refrigerating equipment plant

According to the investment agreement a high-tech plant manufacturing refrigerating equipment and occupying the municipality of 5 hectares will be constructed. Total volume of investments in the enterprise makes up 10 mln. EUR. Moreover , the investor will put up 1,5 mln . EUR. in the development of infrastructure necessary for the techno park\ as a whole.
Successful implementation of the project envisages the creation of around 200 jobs, and upon reaching the planned production capacity the plant will manufacture production in the amount exceeding 30 mln. EUR in yearly terms.

Holding company "Maspex"

In order to expand sphere of activity and markets for food processing, the Polish holding company "Maspex Wadowice" with an annual turnover of more than 200 million USD purchased a building with an area of over 3,000,000 m 2 on the territory of the town Svetlogorsk, Kaliningrad region.
The "Maspex Wadowice" is producing dry cream, cocoa, capuccino, tea, juices, chocolate and other products. The quality of products is in accordance with the requirements of ISO due to utilization of high quality raw material, modern equipment, computer control over the technological process.
The production facilities of the enterprise make it possible to produce up to million packs of clear instant (quick-solving) products per month which are sold on the territory of Russia and abroad.

"House of Story-Teller"

The project was planned in 1996, an original impulse was given by an interest to the history of one of the greatest Universities of Europe – Kenigsberg University "Albertina".
The hotel "Albertina" was opened in 2000, all decorations are devoted to the great scientists who studied and worked in Kenigsberg University. The next phase was an implementation of an idea connected with the life and creations of the great writer – romantic of the first half of the 19 th century E. T .A . Hoffman who was born in our city in 1776 and graduated from the law faculty of "Albertina" in 1795 . The hotel "House of Story-Teller" came into service since 2001 in the town of Svetlogorsk, and in 2004 another building of the hotel was opened which is connected with the knight history of Kenigsberg.
Since 2005 an exposition – model of "Kenigsberg castle and three towns of the beginning of the 16 th century" – with a free access to it started its operation. At present the work is going on developing a Tourist, agricultural and ethnography farm the main attraction of which will be an ethnography part and museum in the open air with a total area of about 30 hectares.
The financing of work is provided from own investment resources. A calculated investment efficiency was about 18% per year from invested funds. Real efficiency was about 17 %, out of which 14 % - in Svetlogorsk, 20 % - in Kaliningrad.

Success story of attracting investments into Kaliningrad region

"Agrobaltsbyt" is a regional state unitary enterprise established with a participation of Administration of Kaliningrad region in order to fulfill state orders in agricultural sector. By the initiative of Kaliningrad regional administration OGUP "Agrobaltsbyt" took part in the programme of agriculture development and acted as an investor for purchasing combines and other agricultural facilities in the German company CLAAS. Financial resources of the Industrial and Construction Bank with participation of an Insurance Agency HERMES were attracted to the project.
Modernization of technical facilities was made only at the leading agricultural enterprises of Kaliningrad region selected on the competition basis.
